LUNA VOICES

Passion and Beauty Come with us into the world of musical elegance. Where the music will envelope your senses, inspire and mesmerise you. Luna Voices is a group of versatile and talented singers, fascinated by the sound of chamber ensembles.They are graduates of the Academy of Music in Wroclaw, trained in various specialities: solo performance, instrumental performance, conducting, music education, theory of music, music therapy, music production etc. They gained their experience by many years of professional activities, among others: vocal competitions, masterclasses, work in a professional choir NFM in Wroclaw, appearing it in many prestigious world concert halls, i.e. Royal Albert Hall, Gewandhaus, NOSPR, Filharmonia Narodowa (National Philharmonic); taking part in respected phonograms, as well as collaborating with numerous musical personalities, i.e. Paul Mc Creesh, Jacek Kaspszyk, Łukasz Borowicz, Krzysztof Penderecki, Bob Chilcott, Robert Holingworth, Giovanni Antonini and Grzech Piotrowski. Luna Voices performs the most beautiful pieces of classical, early and film music, musical compositions, jazz arrangements and other types of contemporary and pop music. The uniqueness of the sound of Luna Voices shows in their ability to combine the beauty of the classical voices with multi-coloured and multi-genre music world. Apart from live performances, Luna Voices also successfully takes part in studio recordings, and project work. Precious timbre of their voices, consistency and silkiness of the sound seduces the listeners, introducing them into the world of refined musical beauty. The originality of the sound and the quality of Luna Voices performances is their extraordinary value, captivating audiences and capturing the hearts of listeners.

MEMBERS

Natalia Halicka

In 2014 she graduated with honours from the Vocal Faculty of the Karol Lipinski Academy of Music, from the masterclass of Prof. Ewa Czermak, the Vocal & Acting major. In the years 2008-2013, she studied at the Faculty of Music Education in the conducting masterclass of Prof. Boguslawa Orzechowska. Natalia participated in numerous courses of interpretation in Wroclaw, Duszniki-Zdroj, Krynica-Zdroj and Radziejowice, led by outstanding teachers, including: Prof. Ewa Czermak, Prof. I. Kremling, Prof. S. Kaluzanka, Prof. E. Sasiadek, Prof. H. Lazarska, Prof. E. Susmanek, Prof. T. Zylis-Gara.

She is also a prizewinner of the 3rd Rudolf Petrak Singing Competition (Zilina 2012), 6th Halina Halska-Fijalkowska International Vocal Competition (Wroclaw 2013) and a finalist of the International Vocal Competition (Zdar nad Sazavou 2012) and 10th Edmund Kossowski Polish Art Song Competition (Warszawa 2012). Moreover, she received awards of the 12th International Moniuszko Competition, „Evening Song” (Bialystok 2011) and an award of the Slavic Art Song Vocal Competition (Katowice, 2014).

In 2012 and 2013 she received scholarships from the Ministry of Culture and Higher Education, and in 2013, also a scholarship for young talented citizens of Wroclaw granted by the Mayor of Wroclaw. For her academic and artistic achievements, in 2014, she was awarded the prize of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, and in October 2014, received a Diploma of the Year award for graduates of art schools in Wroclaw.

In addition to participating in singing competitions, she frequently performed, primarily at home, but also abroad. Of particular importance were Christmas concerts in Zilina (December 2012), under the direction of Leon Swarowski, performances of a solo part in the Requiem by W.A. Mozart in the Lower Silesia Philharmonic in Jelenia Gora under the direction of Kazimierz Kord (April 2013) and participation in the Concert of the Year of Polish art schools (Lodz 2014).

Monika Kuczera

A classical singer, composer and music producer, graduate from the Vocal Faculty of the Karol Lipinski Academy of Music from the masterclass of K. Myrlak, the Song & Oratiorio major.

 

She has participated in numerous masterclasses (Ch. Elssner, J. Niziolek, Duszniki-Zdroj) and singing competitions (i.a. a prizewinner of the Ludomir Rozycki Contest in 2001, finalist of the Halina Halska Competition in 2004).

From 2009 until 2014, Monika worked as a Choir Artist of the National Forum of Music in Wroclaw. As such, she has performed during numerous concerts and contributed to many recordings, including Grande Messe des Morts by Hector Berlioz and Benjamin Britten’s War Requiem under the baton of Paul McCreesh. As a soloist, she sang on „The Seed of Stars” album of a British composer and conductor, Bob Chilcott.

She is the founder of the Luna Voices vocal trio, and with the Female Vocal Quartet, she took part in the recording of the „One World” LP of Grzech Piotrowski.

Many years of playing violin and a great passion for opera music developed her sensitivity to the beauty and simplicity of timeless melodies and harmonies, therefore she enjoys creating pieces of many genres of widely understood popular music, and in particular: HOUSE, D’N’B R’N’B, POP, ELECTRO, GARAGE.

As a composer, singer and producer in the genre of pop/dance, she is involved in many projects, including „Nowe Pokolenie 14/44” LP for the Polish Radio; she also composes music to order for various artists. Moreover, she conducts classes in home-recording and is a vocal studio work coach.

Karolina Pasierbska

Music was always her passion – first as a dancer, then a pianist and finally as a singer – Karolina is renowned as an artist of many different styles and genres. As well as many coloratura arias, her repertoire includes also musical parts and many jazz standards.

She graduated from the Karol Lipinski Music Academy in Wroclaw, Poland where she studied singing with Prof. Danuta Paziuk-Zipser. She subsequently studied at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien in Hannover, Germany with Prof. Carol Richardson-Smith. Throughout her studies she has been also an active participant in Master Courses supervised by Professors: Ingrid Kremling, Teresa Żylis-Gara, and Helga Meyer-Wagner.

In 2007 she took the position of soloist in Stadttheater Bremerhaven in Germany, where she sang her debut role Blonde in Mozart’s opera, „Die Entführung aus dem Serail“. Working on the stage for the next few years gave her the opportunity to learn and perform many solo parts from operas, operettas and musicals, such as Almirena („Rinaldo“), Christel („Der Vogelhändler“), Lisa („Jekyll & Hyde“).

From 2010 – 2012 Karolina was a member of The NFM Choir from Wroclaw, Poland, where she made many appearances in concerts and festivals both national and abroad (e.g. BBC Proms, Wratislavia Cantans) and took a part in several CD Recordings (e.g. „The Seeds of Stars”, „Słowa dźwiękiem malowane”). During her solo and choir engagements she worked together with many reputable conductors, such as Paul McCreesh, Agnieszka Frankow – Zelazny, J.T. Adamus, J. Salwarowski, D. Mikulski, St. Tetzlaff.

From 2012 till 2016, Karolina has performed the main role from the Austrian musical „Sissi – Liebe, Macht & Leidenschaft“ written by George Amadé across the Germany, Austria and The Switzerland, singing for thousand fans on such famous stages as Gewandhaus in Leipzig or Herkulessaal in München, Germany.

She also reached the finals on several occasions of popular vocal competitions in Poland and Germany such as „Szansa na sukces“, „English Song Competition“, „Przeglad“, “Das Supertalent“.

Karolina is now living in Germany, enjoying the exciting opportunities that being a freelance, versatile artist brings.
